Winter Sidus Dei Ludos

The Winter Sidus Dei Ludos, also known as the Winter SDL, is a major international multi-sport competition held once every two years, beginning in the year 1917 and continuing every other year since then. The Winter SDL is currently held from December 1st to December 14th each year, however in the past the dates were much later, into January. In 2015, the Sidus Dei Ludos Administrative Committee made a pivotal decision regarding the Winter SDL, deciding that the formerly scheduled 2021 games would be held in 2022, and that depending on the success of the 2022 games, the Winter and Summer SDL may be held every 3 years in the future.
