Rapathion, officially the Republic of Rapathion, is an island nation located off the southwestern coast of Zwakazi. Currently the second-largest island nation by land area (after Docneighland) the republic is located in the Calidihav Ocean, and closely borders the Grim and Lankanata oceans as well. The republic is a unitary state, however it is composed of nearly 2,000 boroughs which help to organize local law and which decide the representation of the Rapathic National Legislature. Rapathion has close maritime borders with Xevenia and a small border with the Nista Federation too. Currently, Rapathion's land area is 1.43 million square kilometers, and its population is 285.68 million, with the country being the home and origin of the Rapathic language.

Originally, Rapathion was divided into its 2,000 modern-day boroughs, which had been present in the country since the beginning of the modern AD calendar in 0 AD. These boroughs were entirely independent and self-governing, however they cooperated frequently and collaboratively quite often, never experiencing civil war in their 2,000 year history and always maintaining cultural homogeneity.
