The Protectorates of Allia, commonly known and referred to as Allia, is the third largest nation in the world, by population and land area, located on the Asper continent and bordering Drumes, Vidgmar, Paladinia, Docneighland and Mortification, along with the Lankanata Ocean. The nation consists of five protectorates united in "common defense, security, and prosperity under Procantinac." The current population is nearly 925.75 million, with land area being approximated at 4,763,213km2.

Allia has one of the most unchanged governments in the world since its conception in 1512, with the ratification of the Allian Constitution establishing the nation's government. Currently the government, a republic, is headed by Prime Minister Edward Redenlord III, with the Allian Parliament being headed by Parliamentary Minister Adam Williams. The capital and largest city is Procantinac, one of the world's oldest and largest cities, and a center for global trade. Other major cities include Brennaghogia, Vinniscrick, Cennacom, and Hevannis.

The Protectorates formed after the dissolution of the Allian Empire, its direct predecessor in 1500. After twelve years of conflict, the Protectorates were united under Prime Regent Jaron Klondike, who convened the constitutional ratification committee in 1511. During the following centuries Allia maintained a long period of peace, becoming the richest nation in the world, mainly through its plentiful and intense trade, both domestic and foreign. Numerous technological and cultural achievements were made during this time, the vast majority being made in Allia, mainly because of its wealth and massive levels of immigration. In the early 1800's, Allia saw its supremacy challenged, mainly by the Republic of Megatridimensional Order, with which Allia went to war numerous times, and industrialized its economy along with the rest of the world, though for the first time these advancements came from outside Allia. In the 1900's, Allia still played a large role in world economics, however its political importance declined somewhat, being lost to the Megatridimensional Order and the United States of Quentin as the Great Venturian Wars decimated the backbone of its existence, global trade.

Today Allia is still one of the most developed and influential nations of the world, and has the fourth largest GDP in the world, with $3.66 trillion. While its position as a world power has declined since its massive dominance, it is still a great power, with a large influence on the world, mainly through trade and politics. The country is currently recognized as a nuclear power, has one of the largest militaries in the world, and is a member of the Asperian Trade and Defense Organization. Allia is also a member of the Venturian Union, being a permanent head nation on the Venturian Union Security Bureau, and is a member of the Sidus Dei Ludos and General Economic Cooperation Organization as well. Its language of Allian is also a prominent one worldwide, being spoken widely in 7 of the 32 Venturian nations.

Sports

Allia has a long sporting history, developing numerous stately sports including swimming, cycling, archery, boxing, sailing, jousting, fencing, shooting, and weightlifting, among many others, across its long history. Today many of these sports are still extremely popular, especially at universities across the nation and in amateur leagues, though there are some professional leagues for these individual sports. Some of these include the Allian Cycling Club (ACC), the Allian Swimming Organization (ASW), and the Williamsburg Stately Society. International competitions including Allia are also common, with Allia being the third-most successful team at the Sidus Dei Ludos, and also being included in international federations such as the ISEA and the World Fighting Cup. Because of the development of all these sports in Allia, the country is commonly known as the Grandfather of Sports, with the United States of Quentin being known as the Father of Sports for its development of numerous team sports.

Despite this long history and popularity of individual sports, team sports are also highly popular in Allia, as they are in the rest of the world today. The most popular team sport in Allia is team nosedive, which was developed in Allia in the 1700's and is considered the oldest team sport in the world. Allia plays a major role in the Empirical League of Nosedive, the most popular league for the sport, and is home to more than half of the teams in the league. University nosedive in the country is organized by the ATNAU, while the country also competes in international competitions of nosedive through the Sidus Dei Ludos and the Nosedive Association of the World (NAOW). The Nosedive World Championships commonly feature Allian clubs, while the Allian national team has won the World Nosedive Grand Finals more times than any other nation.

Roofball is also very popular in the nation, with the Coastal Allian Roofball League (CORAL) being the most popular roofball league in the nation. CORAL is the fourth most popular roofball league in the world, however the country also generates many players who have gone on to play in foreign leagues, such as Manny Leaona who had major success in the QRO during the 1960's. Roofball is played at university as well, as frequently and sometimes more frequently than team nosedive. Due to its popularity, Allia is a strong competitor in the Venturian Roofball Association (VERA), placing second in numerous W-ARC Conference Championship competitions and winning the VERA World Cup in 1969 and 2005, for which it continues to qualify nearly every year.

Other team sports are played, though less commonly, in Allia as well. For example, bucketball is played frequently by universities in the north and mountain areas, being carried from Paladinia in the late 1900's. Trenchball is a popular pastime sport, and while it has no major leagues in Allia the sport is common amongst teenagers and universities especially. Vehementiaball and xevalhemia are also both popular in Allia, with the Northern Vehementiaball League (NVL) having a number of Allian teams. Allia has been subpar at xevalhemia internationally and domestically, never having won an Asperian Xevalhemia Exhibition or made it to the Xevalhemia World Tournament. For all events, Allia is an extremely popular host country, however, and it has hosted three Summer Sidus Dei Ludos competitions (1918, 1952, and 1972) as well as three Winter Sidus Dei Ludos competitions (1919, 1983, and 2005). Twice hosting the VERA World Cup in 1961 and 2005, the country has also hosted by far the most World Nosedive Grand Finals as well.
