Head Nations of the VU Security Bureau

Head Nations of the VU Security Bureau are the member nations of the Venturian Union, an international peacekeeping organization, tasked with leading the Venturian Union Bureau of Security and its operations. This includes making recommendations on specific actions to the General Assembly, voting on recommendations from the General Assembly, and deciding upon a number of other resolutions and security actions meant to keep the world safe and prevent war. Like the other two sub-General Assembly bureaus (the Legislative Congress and the Bureau of Economics), the Bureau of Security has five head nations, with the General Assembly voting every three years on which nations should fill these spots. Only two of the five positions are up for election every three years, however, as Docneighland, the Protectorates of Allia, and the United States of Quentin each hold permanent head nation status.

The most recent vote by the General Assembly on the head nations of the Security Bureau was on January 7th, 2021. Along with the three permanent members, the Megatridimensional Order and Republic of Trigadia delegations were selected to fill the remaining two positions as head nations on the Bureau of Security. Each head nation sends one delegate to act as the representative for the country in the Bureau, although numerous officials may deal with the Bureau and represent the country in day-to-day proceedings.

The following list only names the two additional member nations who were selected head nation every three years. Along with the time period and head nations, there is also a mention of the top two candidate nations, those who received votes but did not become head nation. In the case of a tie, the permanent head nations serve as the tiebreaker.
