The league currently consists of 32 teams spread across the 10 continental Quentinian states, with at least two teams in every state but the Kahoot Area and LBI, which each have one. Teams are divided into two conferences, the Eastern Defenders Conference (EDC) and the Western Grit Conference (WGC), along with four divisions within those conferences. Games are held at the stadiums of these teams, as well as at neutral sites for games such as the United Vehementiaball Pro Bowl or the Leidigh Bowl, and also internationally as a part of the league's international tour. The league season begins in May and ends in October, including the 16-week regular season, the 3-week playoffs, the Pro Bowl, and finally the Leidigh Bowl. The 12 teams with the best records in the regular season are allowed into the playoffs, which is a single-elimination tournament. The two teams remaining in each conference playoff contest the Leidigh Bowl, with the winner being crowned world vehementiaball champion.
The current world vehementiaball champions are the West Snowy Nuclear Chickens, who won the Leidigh Bowl in the most recent 2020 season.

History
Founding
The game of vehementiaball first developed in the 1920's, with the Quentinian Zwakazi Expeditions of the time piquing the country's interest in the culture of Zwakazian nations, including the language of New Zwakazian and the sport of xevalhemia. As expeditionary settlers returned to the USQ, the sport of xevalhemia became mildly popular in the nation for a short time. As a result, people in towns and universities across the country began playing hybrids of the new sport and existing sports, including football and roofball. This created the game of vehementiaball for the first time, which was played with a combination of the xevalhemia goal and length of play, the football line of scrimmage and method of play, and the roofball tussle and dropkick. Eventually, the sport evolved and was modified enough to become distinct, with the center circle being added, play being further defined, the goal being modified, and numbers of players changed. Finally, by the late 1920's to the 1930's the sport looked similar to what it is today.
In 1945, businessman Paul Leidigh and a group of other businessmen created the Annual Vehementiaball Conference, which was meant to confer on rules of the game and organize matches for commercial profit. After two years of standardization, the businessmen convened and decided that the sport was popular enough to merit its own league; after debating the merits of creating a league that might need to compete with the QRO, the businessmen decided to create the United Vehementiaball League to better organize the sports rules, encourage play, and create profit for themselves. After a short campaign of recruiting players and managers for the league, the league was started in 1947, headquartered in Baltimore. The inaugural season was played solely in Baltimore, however after the popularity of the season (and especially of the inaugural Leidigh Bowl) the league moved to become national for the second season.
