Long Beach Island (abbreviated LBI) is a state of the United States of Quentin, located in the northwestern corner of the country. The only island state in the country, and one of the largest islands in the world, LBI is located in the Lankanata Ocean. The state is close to the Kumar Area, located to the southwest, and the Desert Area, to which it is linked by the Long Island Straits Bridge to the south. The state is home to some of the greatest national parks and nature sites in the nation, with some of the coldest weather in the nation as well. LBI also has the distinction of being the last state to enter the union.

LBI's current population is 12 million as of 2020, making it the second-smallest state in the country by population. The state has the third-smallest area of any of the states, currently at 284,989km2. Its population is concentrated in numerous major cities, the largest of those being Beach Haven, the capital (1,000,645), Harold Cedar (367,215), and Barnegat (258,230). LBI, like all other states, is also organized into smaller subdivisions called state districts, the largest of which by population is Stafford District, at 5 million people, and by area is the Fishaelmon District, with nearly 70,370km2.

The area which is now LBI was first part of Punctinaturalland from the 1790's until the Final Punctin Wars in 1862. During this time, the area was not heavily populated, except for the city of Beach Haven, which was called Haftinmeg at the time. After the Final Punctin Wars, which the USQ won by a large margin, LBI was ceded to the USQ along with the Kahoot Area and economic benefits, in exchange for peace. From 1862 to the 1890's, the area was the Long Beach Island Territory, and during that time grew little in population. By the 1890's, however, the nation's population began to expand greatly, and new settlers soon flocked to LBI, leading to its statehood in 1895 as the 10th state. Along with the Kumar Area, the state was part of the Murphy's Law Plan executed by President Milo Murphy and later Presidents, which resulted in federal funds being poured into the development of both the KUA and LBI, both during status as a territory and the early years of statehood. In the 1900's, the state continued to grow, and with the advent of heating technologies has become more livable for settlers. This livability, along with the state's low population compared to its land and its growing role in science and technology has led many to call the state the future of the nation, a nickname of the state.

Sports

Long Beach Island, being one of the less populated states with smaller cities, has less major sports teams than other states. Still, it does have one major team in each league. In the Quentinian Roofball Organization, the state is represented by the Long Beach Island Bullets, the only team in the league besides the Kahoot Krushers to represent a whole state. The Bullets are extremely popular in LBI, and from the 1960's up until the present day, the cities of Beach Haven, Barnegat, and Harold Cedar have competed for the chance to host the team. Since 1991 the Bullets have played in Beach Haven, however, which came one year after the team won its first Champions Cup in 1990. The Bullets currently play at Fantasy Island Stadium, which is located in Beach Haven and has a capacity of 83,000 plus fans. The state has also hosted the Champions Cup twice, once in 1992 at Justice Field and once in 2004 at Fantasy Island Stadium.

LBI also has a team which represents the entire state in the United Vehementiaball League, the Long Beach Island Mystics. The Mystics have won only one Leidigh Bowl, and are less popular than the Bullets, however they are still extremely popular in the state. The team plays at Creaky Step Stadium in Harold Cedar, which has a capacity of over 72,000 fans. Oceanic Body Sports, also known as obs, is the second-most popular sport in the state, and is much more popular in LBI than elsewhere due to its long history with the sport, and its proximity to the ocean. This has resulted in LBI being a part of the QUOBSC Elite Division, which includes numerous athletes who are major contenders each year. Brenna Laurens and Gerry Shempskey are the current elites from LBI, with Shempskey having won the 2014 and 2019 OBS Coastal Championships.
