David Schumas (born November 12th, 1868) was a Quentinian military officer and politician, serving as the state of Snowland's Secretary of Education from 1939-1943. Previously, Schumas served in the armed forces of the United States of Quentin as an officer of the Starkkae Corps, first as a Captain in the corps, which was a division of the Army at the time, and then as the first Master Works officer of the newly independent corps from 1923 to 1936. Schumas was well known for his job enthusiasm and general fighting spirit, and while in the Army earned the Ribbon of Superior Attitude seven times, the maximum number. He is most notable, however, for inspiring the name of the Master Works officer, by saying something similar to the phrase, "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong," when referring to the equipment he was in charge of distributing. This enthusiastic saying stuck with many of his subordinates and superiors, and in 1947, after his death, the name came into official use.

Schumas was originally born in Mechanicsburg, GA, but at a young age moved north to Elizabeth's Square in Snowland. He was educated at Elizabethson College in the city, and at the age of 22 graduated and joined the military at Fort McCarthy Military Academy. In 1893, after graduating, he was sent to Aldersgate, CA for training at the Starkkae Corps Academy, which was at the time a division of the army. Once Schumas graduated there in 1897, he entered duty, and soon served with the Army in the Great Venturian War, as an officer in the Starkkae Corps. After the war ended, Schumas married to Abigail Wright, and they had one child. In 1923, the Starkkae Corps was formed into an independent service branch, and Schumas reentered duty, as the first Equipment Supervisor. His attitude and saying while on the job earned him the corps Badge of Superior Spirit 5 times, in addition to seven ribbons he had already earned, and in 1947 the position he held was renamed for him. After duty, he retired, and in 1939 Governor Chip Lewis appointed Schumas Secretary of Education to Snowland.

Schumas died in 1946 from heart problems. He was 78 years old.
