Master Works is the commissioned officer in the Starkkae Corps of the United States of Quentin tasked with the guard, supply, and distribution of supplies and specialized equipment in a corps or task force, according to orders given by others. The name originates from the first Master Works officer of the Starkkae Corps, David Schumas, who was known for repeating the phrase, "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong," frequently while on duty during the Greater Venturian War, while describing the equipment he distributed.

The position has no equivalent in any armed forces, as there are no specific officers in any other force tasked solely with distributing supplies. The Master Works is ranked seventh of the commissioned officers, and is equivalent in rank to a Quartermaster in the USQN, a Lieutenant Commander in the USQA, a Colonel in the Air Force, and a Colonel in the Quentinian Space Force.

History

The position of Master Works is one of the only positions in the Quentinian military that originated in the nation, and not adopted from other nations. The position originated with the recognition of the Starkkae Corps as its own service in 1923, as before it was merely a corps in the Army. The first officer appointed to the position, then called Equipment Supervisor, was David Schumas, widely respected as one of the most enthusiastic officers in the military, and even earned the Ribbon of Superior Attitude seventide. Once on the job, Schumas reacted with much enthusiasm, repeating the phrase, "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong," to the Starkkaes in a cheery manner.

Starkkae servicemen noted this phrase, and nicknamed Schumas "Masterworks." When Schumas was reassigned in 1936, the nickname was used to describe his predecessors, and came into official use in 1947.

Ravensonian Revolutionary War

During the Ravensonian Revolutionary War, the Starkkae Corps played a vital role, and Master Works officers came into a much greater role in the Corps, and was responsible for the transport of supplies across the Sea of Stratigeo, and to the war. Master Works officer Dan Brencole was crucial in stopping military traffic from the Northern Patrons of Ice, and routing in Quentinian supplies to Buffalnous.

The position of Master Works is ranked as a S2 Level Rank in the Quentinian military, and the position's responsibilities are more simple than other positions, primarily being to manage and distribute supplies to a regiment and coordinate with commanding officers to move supplies around according to plans and supply. Other responsibilities include commanding junior members and coordinating with other officers.
