The United States of Quentin Embassy, Allia is the official Quentinian embassy of the Protectorates of Allia. It is the largest Quentinian embassy in the world, as well as the first built by the United States of Quentin, and communicates governmental messages and policies, as well as directing Quentinian events and visits to the country and protecting citizens living in Allia. The building where the embassy is located, the Robert Dogood House, is named for an operative of the Quentinian Intelligence Department, Robert Dogood who passed messages and intelligence back and forth from the two allies during the Quentinian War for Independence.

The building is located in the capital, Procantinac, at number 7 Independence Street. The embassy was built in 1832, however was moved to Brennaghogia in 1907. However, after major refurbishments and upgrades done in 1917, the embassy moved back to the capital. The Quentinian Flag was raised on the site ceremoniously on January 1st, 1832, and again in Brennaghogia on January 1st, 1908, and then replaced and risen again at Procantinac on January 1st, 1917. The current Head Quentinian Diplomat to the nation is Justine Laelon.

History

Creation

The first remnants of a diplomatic camp between the two countries began in 1827, with the Quentinian War for Independence. Robert Dogood, a Quentinian intelligence operative, communicated with the Allian government, who was fighting alongside the Quentinians against the Republic of Megatridimensional Order at the time, and was allowed to set up in a small building at number 9 Old King's Way in the capital. From this headquarters, Dogood passed and traded information with the Allian government, helping war tactics and eventually contributing to the victory of the two allies.

After the war ended in 1830, with The United States of Quentin being recognized as an independent nation, the two countries had diplomatic relations, but no embassy. 1 year later, in 1831, Governor of the GA Patrick McFranklin wanted to start trading between the two nations. He believed they needed an embassy to become closer, and so contacted the temporary Prime Minister of Quentin, George Bigafeet. Bigafeet agreed, and after communications, an embassy was set up at Johnson's Pastry Market in Procantinac, which was renamed the Robert Dogood House. The first Head Quentinian Diplomat to Allia, Sandy Davifont, moved there immediately, and were later sworn in on January 1st, 1835 after the Constitution of the USQ was signed.

The Logan Disagreement and the Great Venturian War

In 1875, a group of rebels from the Multi-Logan State in the USQ declared their territory independent from the USQ. After the Fort McCarthy Defense Force was able to expel the Loganers in 1881, the Head Diplomat to Allia, Owen Scharkshi, wanted Allia to defeat the Loganers in exchange for a split of their land. Allia refused, and when new Prime Minister of the Protectorates of Allia Harlie Charleston came into office, he decided to improve relations with the new Loganers by kicking out the Quentinian embassy altogether. The USQ denounced the Prime Minister for this move, however did not react with troops or any force. The embassy was scheduled to fully depart in 1883, however it never came to it. In late 1882, Parliament decided to reject the action by the Prime Minister, mainly because the Loganers were both encroaching on their land as well as establishing good relations with the MTO. So the Logan Disagreement was settled, and the embassy stayed in Procantinac.

In 1900, when the Great Venturian War began, the USQ and Allia were allies, fighting against the Righteousness Pact, which included the Republic of Megatridimensional Order. When Procantinac came under siege by the MTO, numerous Allian government officials moved to Brennaghogia, however the Quentinian embassy stayed until 1907, when they moved as well. The embassy was kept there even after the war ended, as in 1915 the Quentinian government decided renovations were necessary. After they were finished in 1917, the embassy moved back the year after.

Refurbishments

Refurbishments to the house underway in 1916.

In 1915, a bill was introduced in the House of Bureaucrats to renovate the Robert Dogood House, which was almost 90 years old and damaged from the Great Venturian War. The bill passed nearly unanimously, with the President agreeing and Allia selling more land for the renovations. As the Quentinian Diplomatic Procedure dictates, architects and construction must be done by completely Quentinian companies, which are screened thoroughly before construction. Northern Bavellock Designers eventually won the bid to design the building, and construction was completed in 1917.

Diplomatic Structure

The Quentinian embassy to Allia follows the standard procedure and has the powers and responsibilities of all official Quentinian embassies, as laid out in the Quentinian Diplomatic Procedure. The embassy has 4 main offices of responsibilities and powers, listed below, all of which are under the direction and supervision of the Head Quentinian Diplomat to Allia, Justine Laelon.

Offices and Responsibilities

-Quentinian Diplomatic Office of Governmental Relations: This office directs messages, policy changes, requests, and other things from the Quentinian government to the Allian government. This includes requests for visits from the President of the USQ or other officials, a request to remove troops from somewhere, expressing indignation at a recent policy change or military move, etc. This office is one where the Head Diplomat works most often, communicating with the Allian Parliament and officials like the Prime Minister of Allia. The current Governmental Relations Officer is Hetty Handallsen.

-Quentinian Office of Citizenship and Immigration Protections: This office has the responsibility of protecting and ensuring certain rights to citizens of the USQ living, working, or immigrating to Allia, including the right to free speech, the right to sanctuary inside the embassy, and others. The current Citizenship and Immigration Protections Officer at the embassy is currently Drew Warlober.

-Quentinian Diplomatic Office of Events and Visitation: The Office of Events and Visitation handles arrangements, security, and locations of events, such as international sporting events, parades, etc, and visitation of government officials or celebrities. Unlike the Office of Government Relations, which sends the request to the Allian government for visitation, the Events and Visitation Office plans routes for parades, communicates with local police and other Allian services to protect the celebrities or stadiums, and arranges locations for the events to take place. The Events and Visitation Officer at the embassy is currently Jacqueline Stacy.

-Quentinian Diplomatic Office of Commerce and Economic Cooperation: The Office of Commerce and Economic Cooperation deals with trade and commerce coming into Allia from the USQ. It communicates tariffs and other expenses, as well as deals with restrictions on trade goods or different embargoes. The Commerce and Economic Cooperation Officer in the embassy is currently Lauren Carkkalse.
