The Chancellor of the Iridium Coast, also known as the Supreme Chancellor, was the primary executive and legislative official in the government of the Iridium Coast from 1824 to 1955. The chancellor operated as the chief executive, meaning he was the commander-in-chief of the military, had control of executive ministries which could function numerous programs inside the nation, and he had the power to approve laws. The chancellor was also the primary legislative official, meaning he headed the National Congress of the Iridium Coast, had extended voting powers, and led Congress in its lawmaking and other actions. The chancellor could also appoint justices to the Parliamentary Court of the Iridium Coast, among other powers.

The chancellor succeeded the nation's monarchy as the most powerful official in the nation, as the monarchy ruled the country with assistance from the National Congress from 1639 until 1824. The monarchy was disbanded during the Iridium Civil War from 1821 to 1823, when the first chancellor, Emily Cartwright was elected, gaining much popular support. The National Congress had the power to vote for no confidence in the chancellor, and trigger a new election, and nearly 32 chancellors were elected by the people from 1824 to 1951. In 1951, the Revolution of the Iridium Coast occurred, where the chancellor at the time raised taxes against the people by executive decree. The people stormed the National Congress in 1953, after two years of violence and protests, and in 1955 the people defeated the Chancellor's Guard to overtake the National Congress. The new National Congress, made up of revolutionaries, voted the chancellor out of power and elected Jauirus Wellensron as the nation's first President, and the chancellorship was destroyed.
