The Skethish Conservative Party, abbreviated CPS, is a political party currently active in New Sketherlands, favoring conservative social, political, and economic policies. The party has had three Prime Ministers in office since its inception in 1945, and though it has only held a majority in Parliament four times, it has held a suitable number in nearly every election, making it one of the four major political parties in the country. Though it is described as the Conservative Party, being more conservative and right-wing than any of the other Skethish parties, the liberal nature of Skethish government compared to other nations means the Conservative Party of New Sketherlands actually stands more towards the center when viewed in terms of global politics.

The Conservative Party was first formed in 1945, by politicians and former members of the New Borders Party, which itself had originated from the Old Borders Party, one of the original parties in the nation created in the early 1800's. Both Borders Parties favored right-wing foreign policy as a major platform, including supporting an increase in military protection, greater domestic and international intervention from the government, and a semi-capitalist, interventionist economy. After the party unsuccessfully campaigned for Skethish involvement in the Great Venturian War, the party died out in 1926, leaving a void of conservatism filled, to a degree, by the Casquet Party. The Casquet Party still leaned left on international issues, however, and after the end of the Greater Venturian War in 1935, conservatism became much more popular in the country. This void was filled by a more right-leaning Unity Party for a time, until 1945 when the Conservative Party was formed. Instantly popular mainly because of its high-profile founders, the party had its first Prime Minister, Jezebel Zabanks, voted into office in 1953.
