The Age of Refutation is a term used to describe the period in Asper and, to a lesser extent Zwakazi, during which many scientific, societal, economic, and theological ideas previously held by the large majority of the population were refuted, either being disproved or proved ineffective and unjust. The period is vague, however scholars generally place the Age as occurring from the late 1200's to around 1397 with the start of the Belief Clash. Occurring during the reign of the Allian Empire, the Age of Refutation opened the door to more independent thought, division, and resistance in the empire, however it also introduced democracy, individual liberties, religious reforms, major scientific and philosophic breakthroughs, and groundbreaking societal change to the world for the first time.

Notable creations of the Age include the refutation of Bergey's Theory of Energy and the inception of gravity and physics, and the creation of notable art, literature, and music pieces such as Qui'est Prochaine, Soif of Sommeil, and the Theses of Corumminius. The inception of democracy and individual freedoms such as freedom from the church, freedom from slavery, and freedom of speech occurred during this time, as well as the recognition of populous theory, the creation of Branchant theory, and the creation of divine communication. Finally, landowners and the rich were severely disempowered during this time, with merchants and the government stepping in to free indentured servants and slaves.
