Paladinia, officially the Co-Dictatorship of Paladinia, is a co-dictatorship nation located in central Asper, bordering the United Villages of Southia, Allia, the Megatridimensional Order, and Mortification, along with the Sea of Stratigeo to the north, sharing maritime borders with the United States of Quentin. The nation consists of 5 states united under the leadership of co-dictators, who rule under the Paladinian Charter of Succession. Currently these two dictators are Logan Warren VI and Nathan Greenawalt. Paladinia is the world's 6th largest economy, with a GDP of around $1.89 trillion, and has a population of 786.92 million.
Paladinia is the third incarnation of the nation, the first of which was Mayberry Logan, which declared its independence from the United States of Quentin in 1875. After the short Quentin-Logan Border War, the nation's boundaries were pushed over the Sea of Stratigeo and onto the land which they are on today. Mayberry Logan began as a republic, with an executive called the dictator, but who answered to the Mayberry Logan Legislative Ministry. However the lack of executive power left the nation's government virtually powerless against numerous issues including crime, uprisings, and violence along all borders. In 1881 Logan Warren I took over as dictator of the nation, and gained numerous allies in the government, eventually being declared supreme sovereign by the Legislative Ministry, which was then abolished in 1886. This prompted violence from the northwestern part of the nation, and in the Paladinian Uprisings of 1890, Logan Warren's son, Logan Warren II, firmly established his hold on the nation. He named his new regime the Country of Logan.
This led directly to the nation becoming involved in the Great Venturian War, with Warren II desiring to expand the borders of the nation. The nation and its allies won the war, and gained much territory. During the 1920's the nation turned inwards to industrialize, however soon its alliance with the MTO pulled the nation into the Greater Venturian War, though the war garnered much opposition. After the war was eventually lost, the nation went into decline with the terms of the treaty, and in 1946 prominent industrial family the Greenawalt's, led by Luke Greenawalt I, gained power in the lower levels of government, including in the military. In 1948, the Greenawalt's attempted a coup of the Warren government, now led by Logan Warren III, and after fighting the Paladinian Civil War for three years, the two sides agreed on a truce, forming a co-dictatorship. After a stagnant economic period in the 1960's and early 1970's, the nation signed the Trans-Stratigeo Agreement on Regulations (TSAR) with the USQ, leading to a period of rapid growth.
Today the nation's growth has slowed considerably, and the country has distanced itself from the USQ and border nation Allia, forming a new relationship with the MTO after the nation came out of its civil war in the 1990's. Paladinia's influence in the world is not the largest on Asper, however has significant importance as a trading hub and central territory between often conflicting alliances. The nation's standard of living is extremely high, and government policy means some of the lowest taxes on the continent, however this often adds to a limited education system. The healthcare system of the nation is one of the largest and least expensive in the world. The nation is a member of the Venturian Union, and is currently a head nation of the VU Bureau of Economics. The nation is also a nuclear power, participates in the Sidus Dei Ludos, and is a member of the General Economic Cooperation Organization, one of the five facilitating nations in the organization.

History
Paladinia has existed in many forms. The first form of this country was Mayberry Logan, a dictatorship consisting of a very small population. Mayberry Logan was, at first, what is today known as the city/town in Paladinia, Building States, a relatively large portion of land. The Mayberry Logan citizens and newfound dictator, Logan Warren III, decided to rename and expand the small country. He named it The Country of Logan after his grandfather Logan Warren I. His first action in expanding the city was to create a memorial that would honor the small town's heroes, who were, at the time, builders of the town, and the ones who named it. Jaya Mayberry was the founder and co-creator of the town along with Logan Warren I but passed away quickly after she and her crew had finished construction. The town was named after the two founders. Jaya Mayberry was 32 when she died. Logan Warren I was a close friend but even closer to her was Luke Greenawalt I. The two had a child when Mayberry died. He was named after his father, Luke.
After the choice to rename the nation, there was controversy across the nation. A majority of citizens concluded that Warren III was, by renaming the country, discrediting Miss Mayberry's work toward building the country, as the new country tag dropped her name altogether. One of the citizens, Mayberry's son, Luke, felt very strongly about what the new dictator was doing. Mayberry was not mentioned once in the monument quotes and names, making Luke even more upset. Another young man that felt strongly about the new monument and name was Warren III's son, Logan Warren IV, who banded together with many citizens to overthrow his father. This revolution was meant to be quick, but it turned into the Paladinian Civil War.
