Wagner and Firedawn University is a private, non-profit, multi-campus university, located in the United States of Quentin and founded in 1843 by George Firedawn and Max Wagner, making it the oldest institution of higher learning in the nation. With its main campus in Quentinsburg, the Desert Area a college-town, the university has 7 other campuses scattered across the country, and is largely considered as the prime and most prestigious university in the nation. This is due to its excellence in academics, consistently ranking in the top five in the nation, its student enrollment, which is fourth-highest in the nation, its commitment to athletics, and the lengths of its research and innovations programs. Internationally the university is ranked consistently in the top five institutions of higher learning, and is currently ranked second by the VU Academics Administration.

The university was founded in 1843, by Max Wagner and George Firedawn, both politicians and founders of the nation, and are the namesake of the university. The university was originally called Grassland University, or simply the National University, and was originally located in the western part of the Grassland Area. After two years, where the university mainly focused on politics and law, the Founder's Conflict ignited by Firedawn himself interrupted the university's operations, but after Firedawn was executed, Wagner continued operations of the school, moving it to Quentinsburg, a city he designed and led, and after his death in 1878 the university was renamed to honor both founders.

The university has expanded its curriculum over time to include thousands of majors and courses, with its arts, humanities, medical, technological, and scientific programs all being world-renowned. The university is organized into 8 campuses, with its main campus located in Quentinsburg. The campus itself is largely known as the largest and one of the best in the nation, with many analysts such as the Futures Gazette and World Business Analyst ranking it as one of the best in the world as well. The campus is over 31,000 acres, and is situated beside both the uptown, residential area of the city and the downtown area of the city, located just across the Logan River from WFU. Located in the southern portion are commencement and enrollment offices, along with many residential areas and the Bangington Building, which houses multiple different minor programs, including mechanical and religious. Up north at the center of the campus is the Wagner and Firedawn Administrative Building, along with the humanities program. The athletics program is located even further north, including historic Max Wagner Memorial Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in the country by capacity. Most dormitories and student services are located in the west, near the uptown. The science and research programs are located in the top northeast corner, with the health and arts programs located below those.

The other seven campuses of the university include Wagner and Firedawn University, Mechanicsburg, Wagner and Firedawn University, Baltimore, Upper Penswill College, Wagner and Firedawn University, Lindin, Wagner and Firedawn University, Rodriguezville, Wagner and Firedawn University, Cherserse, and Wagner and Firedawn University, Port Clinton. The alumni of WFU is among the most decorated in the world, with nearly 4,000 General Ale Prize winners throughout history, along with nearly 234 living billionaires, 866 Venturia Award winners, and a long list of successful athletes, including 174 Sidus Dei Ludos competitors throughout history and nearly 600 professional athletes.

History

Campuses

Wagner and Firedawn University currently has 8 active campuses, which includes the main campus, Founders Square, along with 7 other campuses, Wagner and Firedawn University, Port Clinton, founded in 1867, Wagner and Firedawn University, Mechanicsburg founded in 1888, Upper Penswill College founded in 1896, Wagner and Firedawn University, Rodriguezville founded in 1909, Wagner and Firedawn University, Lindin founded in 1913, Wagner and Firedawn University, Baltimore, founded in 1924, and Wagner and Firedawn University, Cherserse, founded in 1963. Though Wagner and Firedawn's main campus offers much better accommodations and quality of teaching in most areas than do the satellite campuses, these other campuses serve to extend WFU's considerable resources and staff to other areas of the country, allowing for more students. In some cases in these WFU satellite campuses, although it is far less prevalent than in other universities, a campus may offer greater expertise or focus on a certain subject than the main campus can provide, for example the Baltimore campus, which focuses more on the arts, or the Rodriguezville campus, which has been acclaimed for its business and entrepreneurship programs.

The athletics program of Wagner and Firedawn was established in 1891. As more and more colleges were being founded, these colleges began to compete in many different athletic activities, the first official ones being track and field events, wrestling, and fencing. These events soon expanded, and the Quentinian Quadrathameet was added in 1916, and the Quentinian University Association of Collegiate Athletes (QUACA) was founded, organizing the sports and setting rules on players and events.

The athletic teams for WFU are known as the Wagner and Firedawn Guardians, and their mascot is a guardian, equipped with a shield and other defensive items. The team's official colors are orange and red, along with white and black, and the WFU athletics program participates in the QUACA Grassland Conference and the Old Orange Division.
