The Venturian Union Accords Against Espionage (VUAAE) is an agreement facilitated by the Venturian Union, a world peacekeeping and cooperation organization, that is currently in effect and ratified by 29 of the VU's 32 member nations. The accords were signed in 1964, and although they attempt to outlaw all espionage, covert operations, and sabotage operations of numerous nations against each other, nearly all nations that ratified it are known to be in violation of the accords, a fact the Venturian Union says is currently, "unverified," though much evidence has surfaced. As a result, the VUAAE has received much criticism from around the world, with many international scholars and media critics saying the agreement is the most ineffectual, unnecessary and routinely ignored document in all of the VU.
