The Universal Rights Defense Front

The Universal Rights Defense Front (1920-1991) or URDF was a politicial party in the Republic of Megatridimensional Order. Known (derisively) as Suicidalists, they demanded an end to expansion and a return of the land to descendants of minorities who the Order defeated in battle, negotiated by treaty, or simply purchased. The URDF opposed cultural/physical displacement by the Order and they were self-styled anti-military, anti-expansionist. They demanded peaceful coexistence with smaller tribes and nations but, somewhat ironically, no qualms about violent acts committed against their own government, military, or civilians (if aligned with opposing factions) to advance their cause. Critics viewed the anti-military stance as hypocritical when contrasted against the violent activities of the group.
