Commodore of the Quentinian Navy is a admiralty-level officer rank in the Navy of the United States of Quentin. The rank is the third highest on the admiralty tier, subordinate only to the Homeland Admiral, Foreign Admiral, and the Supreme Commander. The position of commodore was the second-highest rank in the navy until the standardization of naval ranks with Executive Order 9201 in 1973, which created the two positions of homeland and foreign admiral. The commodore assists the admirals with command and orders, and delivers and communicates orders with the Fleet Captains to execute orders correctly. They often are at the head of command of specific task forces as well, such as the Primary Venturian Command Squadron or the Primary Brightwater-Stratigeo Command Squadron.
