Independence is an adventurous historical fiction movie made in 1963 in The United States of Quentin. Made by Adlive Motion Pictures, directed by Troy Healsont, and starring Josh Buchler, Dawn Olivia, Robbie LeDavis, and Penny Wagner, it is set in the 1800's, when the USQ was The Territories of Quentin. It follows fictional character Dario Kexjekxls (Josh Buchler), an immigrant from Punctinaturalland, on his journey to free the Territories from the rule of the Republic of Megatridimensional Order along with other non-fiction historical leaders, create a family, and escape death.

Independence was released into theaters in 1963, and was an immediate success with audiences, despite what The USQ Gazette called, "...a total lackluster, unimaginative, and uninspiring performance," from Josh Buchler. To this day, when adjusted for inflation, the film tops the all-time USQ box office list, making nearly Ð177,956,019 ($1,779,560,190).

It is 1820, and Dario Kexjekxls is a Punctin immigrant living in the Quentinian city of Baltimore. As he is an immigrant, he works hard, low paying jobs, and is treated very poorly in comparison to other non-immigrants. While returning from work one day, Dario and a few others in an alley are approached by robbers, citizens of the MTO. They attempt to rob the Quentinians, as they believe Mocking Day is still being celebrated here, not knowing that it had been cancelled. Dario bravely steps up and attacks one of the robbers, and when the situation escalates, fights alongside others, including beloved character Bibo Dimes (Riley Patrickson).

After the incident, which came to be known as The Mocking Day Incident, Dario lives, but not without developing a strong desire for revenge against the Order. So, he joins multiple protests, and at his first or second one finds Olivia Breyers (Penny Wagner). She assists him, and saves his life after The Order Guard attempts to break up the protest. Afterwards, finds out Olivia is a rich merchant's daughter, and is astounded that a rich, white woman from the Territories would save a poor immigrant such as himself. In later protests, they destroyed supplies, recruited members, including Randall Perkins (Fred Myers) and Lauren McKing (Dawn Olivia), trying to evade Order Guard Bruté Proutog Benjamin (Robbie LeDavis) the whole time. It's around this time Dario and Olivia start to develop romantic feelings for each other.

It all accumulates one year later in 1821 when, in the bleak of December, Dario, Olivia, Bibo Dimes, and some of their other recruits plan a raid on Order naval ships in the harbor. They also carry ammunition and supplies, and it would be a huge blow to the Republic if destroyed. The band of rebels sneak onto one of the ships, and plant an explosive there, without much resistance. On the second ship, they meet more resistance, but overcome it, planting a second explosive. On the third ship, however, they meet strong resistance, and Bibo Dimes is shot and killed, along with Lauren McKing, among others. While others continue to fight, Olivia and Dario sneak around back and are able to reach the supply room. They plant the third and final explosive, and escape along with their fellow rebels.

At the end of the movie, we fast forward to 1823, right before the Quentinian Declaration of Independence is released. Dario and Olivia are married with a child (Edward Jackson), and living in Mechanicsburg. From dialogue, we pick up that the two were heard about by Territorial leaders Kindy Bost-Jameson (George Kikk) and Ona Pia (Christen Owen), and the two now work for The Quentinian Intelligence Department. The Declaration is released after a day of seeing Dario's new life, and the movie ends with Dario responding to Kindy Bost-Jameson's question if he will fight by saying, "Sign me up."

Cast and Characters
Josh Buchler- Josh Buchler plays the lead role in the movie, Dario Kexjekxls, the young immigrant from Punctinaturalland. Dario is very poor, has no family, and works low paying labor jobs just to have enough food and shelter to survive. He has a desire for revenge against the Republic of Megatridimensional Order, because they don't do anything beneficial to The Territories of Quentin, where he lives. This desire grows even more after The Mocking Day Incident, in which he has a large role.

Buchler has been criticized by many newspapers, critics, and even everyday audience members for his performance in Independence. Many say it was lackluster, uninspiring, and without any heart, and that the movie was saved only by the terrific characters, plot line, and amazing performances by other actors and actresses, like Penny Wagner and Robbie LeDavis. Others say while the performance was bad, he still didn't act horrible, and his role was an integral part in the film.

Penny Wagner- Penny Wagner plays one of the lead roles in the movie, rich merchant's daughter and rebel Olivia Breyers. Penny, while rich and very privileged, fights against The Order Guard and the MTO because of the oppression she sees in Baltimore, where she lives.

Penny's portrayal of the feisty young Olivia Breyers has constantly been praised by numerous critics and reviewers, and after this film she was cast for numerous other roles, including Julia Bigafeet in Rob Stevens, Felicity Espigione in Neighland Together, and even later in life Madame Quentins in Quare et Scitis (Movie).

Robbie LeDavis- Robbie LeDavis in Independence portrays the tough and hardened Order Guard Bruté Proutog Benjamin, who is determined to crush the resistance forming and fight for the country he helped create stay together.

LeDavis' performance in Independence is widely viewed as a complete success, with many saying he compellingly portrays the Bruté, and highlights his determination well, without, as The USQ Gazette puts it, "...turning him into the classic, evil villain with no depth or motives."

Dawn Olivia- Dawn Olivia plays the rebellious young teenage rebel, Lauren McKing, in the film. McKing lives in the poor sections of Baltimore, and like Dario works low paying labor jobs. She is reluctant to follow Olivia and Dario at first because she feels they're too cautious, and throughout the journey jokes around with the group as well as almost getting herself killed numerous times. She does actually die at the end, trying to distract the Order troops so the mission can be finished.

While Olivia's performance was not necessarily acclaimed at the time, it was recognized by many filmmakers, and led to other parts, including the lead role in George E. Firedawn, 1979.
