The QNS Tigre, nicknamed the Fire Bandit and briefly called the MOS Tigre, was a wooden hulled two-masted sailing brigantine that was built in 1824 and launched in 1825, and served in the United States of Quentin Navy during the Quentinian War for Independence, as well as other wars until 1883. The Tigre was constructed after news of the success of raiding successes along the Megatridimensional coast during that war, and was built with funds from the city of Boston, its home port.

In 1883, the Tigre was captured by MOS Triumphant while on a mission to capture enemy minelayers, and was renamed the MOS Tigre that same year. The Tigre was then sent on a mission to the Gulf of Creed in 1884, to raid Fort Bigafoot, however was met by the frigate QNS Scioly offshore. After a quick, one-sided duel, the Tigre was incapacitated, and sunk, though only after the Scioly's crew raised a Quentinian naval jack aboard the Tigre, thus reclaiming the ship as the QNS Tigre. The poem Sweet Ol' Tigre by Jorund Fealshan is inspired by the story of the Tigre, and the sunken wreckage is today on the Places of Enshrinement in History List, with boat tours by the city of Fort Bigafoot regularly being carried out.

History

Origins and Construction

QNS Tigre was originally ordered on August 4th, 1824, by the United States of Quentin Navy, then referred to as the Territorial Navy, after news of successful raids along the Megatridimensional coast traveled back to the Territories. The Quentinian Navy built the Tigre to carry out more raids, and assist such ships as the QNS Flecha. The ship was laid down on September 9th, and was launched January 14th, 1825, named for the animal tiger, which in Farmine is spelled "tigre". The cost, which was paid for by the cities of Boston and Baltimore, was around $5,612 (Ð561.20) in today's money.

Quentinian War for Independence

The Tigre saw the most of its service during the Quentinian War for Independence, during which it was built. Its maiden voyage was a raid on the coast of the Republic of Megatridimensional Order, and it sailed on July 1st, 1825. It reached the city of D'vylia in November,
